ADOLESCENT THERAPY

Adolescence is a time of many physical, psychological and social changes. During this phase, experimentation and challenges of identity construction arise and are described / experienced.  like a "crisis".  A questioning and many doubts are then felt by the adolescent or young adult.

This phase can be experienced as a psychological upheaval to be resolved in order to allow a stable identity construction and a better orientation of life.

This period of transition between the world of childhood and adulthood can be experienced as an indescribable evil and difficult to communicate.  In addition, communication between the adolescent and his parents during this period is not always obvious, sometimes a source of tension,  conflict and suffering on both sides.

Many symptoms can signal ill-being in adolescents:

Isolation, withdrawal into oneself, aggressiveness, self-denigration, management of difficult emotions (mood swings, oppositions, excess, negative thoughts, guilt, etc.), somatizations, anxiety, addictions, insomnia, school failure, absenteeism, loss of motivation, risky behavior, TS ...

It is a period of regression and mutation where the need for security is shaken, the infantile models reassessed and the need to find one's own vital identity.

ROLE OF THERAPY

Psychological support allows adolescents who feel misunderstood by those around them or who are experiencing one or more persistent symptoms to have a space for listening, trust and without judgment.

In therapy, adolescents can benefit from support in exploring and expressing their difficulties and thus find their own solutions, shape their identity and orient themselves towards their personal path.

CONSULTATION

A first consultation allows you to get to know the adolescent and understand the therapeutic work to be started. This can be done during an interview with the adolescent and / or with one of the parents. Thereafter, the adolescent will benefit alone from his therapeutic space at the rate of a weekly or bimonthly session when the follow-up work has begun and may subsequently be the subject of a monthly or quarterly point.
